Rashmi Singh is a banking executive, investor, and energy adviser with more than 25 years of experience in commercial lending, technology finance, and investment management. Singh’s career combines senior banking leadership with advisory work in advanced nuclear energy and writing on energy infrastructure.
From May 2022 to August 2026, Singh served as Market President for Southwestern National Bank in San Mateo, California. With regulatory approval, Singh established the Texas-based bank’s Northern California operation, recruited its team and expanded lending into new energy-sector industries.
Previously, Singh served as Chief Lending Officer at Mission National Bank in San Francisco overseeing regulatory compliance for an approximately $350 million portfolio and strengthening credit origination and portfolio management practices. Prior to this role, Singh was Senior Vice President at United Business Bank, generating more than $400 million in credit facilities and managing the bank’s largest lending team. Earlier, at Silicon Valley Bank from 2001 to 2009, Singh underwrote more than $1 billion in loan transactions involving venture-backed and public companies across technology, energy, and healthcare.
Singh and her team advises Kadmos Energy, an advanced nuclear company developing standardized light-water small modular reactors using existing supply chains. She has also published articles in The National Interest and The Washington Examiner on energy sector, particularly advanced nuclear energy.
She is a founding partner of RS Alternative Investments, established in 2021, managing private equity investments in food technology, energy, and real-estate construction projects. Singh is also a founding partner of BT Investments, a distressed real-estate investment and management fund established in 2012.
Rashmi Singh holds master’s degrees in Energy Law and Environment Policy from Texas A&M University and Business Administration from San Diego State University, and a degree in corporate communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
